This is a collection of media from the initial releases of "House of Women" (1962) in the Pacific Northwest. "Samar" (1962) was the second feature in both Seattle and Portland.

House of Women (1962)
a young woman named Erica Hayden is wrongly accused of a crime and sent to prison for five years. She is most worried about her unborn child’s future. At this prison, they allow the women to keep their children until age 3 but at that point, they must be given to a friend or relative outside the prison or surrendered to State authorities who will arrange an adoption. With the aid of the warden, Erica sets out to prove her innocence.

Samar (1962)
Spain rules the Philippines with an iron hand in the 1870s and uses the island of Samar as a penal colony for unwanted political prisoners. An American doctor and adventurer, Dr. John David Saunders, makes himself unpopular and is offered the post of doctor on the island, which he accepts; the alternative proposal being more unpleasant. The colony is in a state of unrest and decides to brave the jungles, which are full of savage head hunters, in a bid for freedom away from their Spanish oppressors
