Brainstorm (1965)
On a lonely highway, Jim Grayam, a systems analyst, saves a woman named Lorrie Benson from a suicide attempt. Lorrie is the wife of wealthy Beverly Hills millionaire Cort Benson. Despite her initial resentment, Lorrie becomes romantically involved with Jim. When their relationship turns serious, Jim hatches a diabolical plot: he’ll kill Cort but make it appear as if he’s insane, ensuring he’s sent to a psychiatric institution rather than facing the gas chamber for murder. As events unfold, Jim’s sanity is tested, and secrets unravel.
