I've never heard of Schoolyard Heroes but Creature Feature I discovered earlier this year. They're a two to three man band out of Southern CA that sound like they came straight out of a Tim Burton movie. They play a very quirky, oddball type of music that always has a traditional horror theme to it. At times they also remind me of earlier Marilyn Manson minus the middle finger and apostasy. My daughter loves them. I think they're OK. It's a cool idea but I get bored with it after a couple of songs. That and I don't think they've quite realized their full potential. At least that's my take on them.

SchoolYard Heroes have been around for quite awhile. Punk/Post-Punk kind of sound, and they tour quite a bit (heading out on another one soon, I've heard).

The Kids like'em.

only ever heard (and have seen) school yard heros. Big emo scene, guys look like girls etc.. but tons of them. I don't even know if it is emo but tthey looked pretty fruity. the band sounded pretty ok, i think it is a chick singer and it was pretty punkish i guess.
