The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966)
“The Ghost and Mr. Chicken” is a delightful comedy-mystery film starring Don Knotts as Luther Heggs, a timid typesetter for a small-town newspaper. Luther dreams of becoming a reporter and gets his big break when he’s assigned to spend a night in the eerie Simmons Mansion, which is rumored to be haunted. The mansion has a dark history involving a tragic event that occurred 20 years prior. As Luther navigates the spooky night, he encounters a series of strange and humorous events that put his courage to the test. His experiences in the mansion lead to unexpected twists and turns, making for a charming and entertaining story filled with laughs and light suspense.
