The Naked Prey (1965)
“The Naked Prey” is an intense adventure film set in the South African veldt. Directed by and starring Cornel Wilde, the story follows a safari guide who finds himself in a desperate struggle for survival. After a confrontation with a local tribe, he is stripped of his clothes and weapons and forced to run for his life. The film is notable for its minimal dialogue and gripping portrayal of the harsh and unforgiving African wilderness. As the guide navigates through dangerous terrain and evades relentless pursuers, the film explores themes of survival, resilience, and the primal instincts that drive human behavior.
