The Mask is a 1961 Canadian horror film that was produced in 3-D by Warner Bros. It was directed by Julian Roffman, and stars Paul Stevens, Claudette Nevins, and Bill Walker. The film tells the story of a psychiatrist, Dr. Allan Barnes, who receives a mysterious mask from one of his patients who committed suicide. Whenever he wears the mask, he experiences disturbing and violent visions that affect his personality and behavior. The film is notable for being the first Canadian film to be widely distributed in the United States, and the only Canadian 3-D feature. The film also features an introduction by magician Harry Blackstone, who instructs the audience to put on their 3-D glasses when they hear the command “Put the mask on now!” during the film. The Mask is considered a cult classic and a pioneer of psychedelic cinema

The Mask (1961)
A young archaeologist believes he is cursed by a mask that causes him to have weird nightmares and possibly to murder. Before committing suicide, he mails the mask to his psychiatrist, Dr. Barnes, who is soon plunged into the nightmare world of the mask.
