Cool concept but I can't say that it's something I need.

These, on the other hand, I can put to good use...

Cant argue with this: Image

I like the one I have. Minus the annoying 7th string. ;)

Hell, if it's going to have seven strings, might as well get something nice and evil. :dsmoke: Here's my fav that my brother-in-law made (shameless plug):

Guess I'm just an old fashioned guy. I tend to not veer to far away from traditional shapes. I am on board with the one knob thing though. 90% of the time I run everything wide open or at one setting (which is usually wide open). :D

Same here. My dream bass right now is the 5 string version of the gool ol' American built Fender Jazz.

I used to have two Jazz Plus 5 strings in the early 90s. Unfortunately, there was a design flaw with them. The B string had to make a severe angle to the tuning post after the nut. I don't know how many times I broke that string just trying to get it strung up. They've since changed the string travel from the nut to the post so it continues in a straight line. That and I think they've also added a string tree.

The first time my bass was at anything besides wide open was in the studio, and I kept pissing off the engineer by resetting it wide open just out of habit.

Single knob is probably my speed as well, I guess.
