Absu last night

Didn't see anyone from the board at the show except for the Drakul dudes. Bummer as there were probably only around 75 people there.
Due to too much partying Drakul was the only local I saw. They were pretty damned good, better than I had ever seen them that's for sure. The touring openers (Rumplestiltskin Grinder and Sothis) weren't really my cup of tea but were all nice guys Absu was excellent but I couldn't hear the kicks very well which was sad because Proscriptor is a seriously killer drummer.
The highlight of the evening was listing to Proscriptor doing Prince imitations while some of the other dudes were getting showers after the show. The guy is a seriously talented singer which is surprising for someone who is generally only known for his sick black metal vox.
I hung out until the bus rolled off at 3 AM. I am very glad I scheduled today off from work as I would be in very bad shape should I have gotten up at 6 AM.
Here is a rare photo of me and the Absu dudes before they hit the road for Calgary
