Finnish metal magazine cover

Post by Chris Slack »

I finally got a cover shot on a glossy print mag so I'm pretty stoked. One of my shots from Horna's gig in Seattle last was used for this. Circulation is pretty low but what the hell. One thing that I thought was pretty cool is that the magazine claims full color covers but used my black and white image :)

The lines aren't in the magazine cover, they are the fault of my cruddy scanner.

It should but I doubt it will. Too many "photographers" are happy to provide free photos and most end users will take lower quality free pics rather than paying a nominal fee for high quality. Regardless I have fun! :)

Congrats Chris that beats the digital cover of George Lynch that I did for Line 6. At least with yours you have a tangible copy of it.

According to Google Translate, it means "pilloried in our new world."

Since I didn't know "pilloried" was a word, I checked:

&quot wrote:Function:
transitive verb
Inflected Form(s):
pilloried; pillory·ing
Date:
circa 1600

1 : to set in a pillory as punishment
2 : to expose to public contempt, ridicule, or scorn

Blake's translation is what I could come up with. From the names of cities scattered throughout the article and some names I recognize the article itself is about Horna's first US tour late last year. The writer accompanied them throughout the tour and, along with the band, crashed at my friend Odin's house after the Seattle and Portland shows before heading back to Finland.
