Both Marc Rizzo CD's are just kicking my ass. Killer shredding and flamenco madnesss.

I know this guy got a bad rep due to his stint in Ill Nino/wearing an emtpy backpack (nu metal dorkiness) .... then he goes to Soulfly (which is huge musical upgrade for them).

But he fucking shreds!!! Goto YouTube, search Marc Rizzo NAMM ... crazy!

NOTE: bullshit intro, ffwd to 1:13 on the NAMM stuff....

I've been listening to my old Devo albums lately, as well as Underride's new CD.

I really don't have much of background with him but I really dig this album. It slays what I've heard off of "The Adversary" and is miles from what I know of his work with Emporer... but that could just be my ignorance talking too. I've just recently been exposed to his work yet I'm liking it all the same.

Ihsahn is an unbelievably good musician. His stuff with Emperor, early to old, shows a HUGE improvement in musicianship. You can totally see a dramatic progression. I loved "The Adversary". I now have high hopes for this new one.
