Nice, ZXRO. I've been gnashing teeth to get my hands on this game. I'm not a big race fan, but I loved PGR3 and was obsessive about tuning in Gran Turismo. I've also seen some sick cool paint jobs around other gaming forums.

Alas, I have no money to buy it with.

There were some new photos posted on Aint It Cool today. Nothing big, but worth a post. http://www.aintitcool.com/images2007/JokerMask.jpg Most likely the Joker's goons http://www.aintitcool.com/images2007/JokerImax.jpg Shitty pic of the Joker being filed in IMAX ratio Apparently, the Joker's story ...

At first I was skeptical about this movie. William Friedkin or not, I'm suspicious of any movie I see shitloads of ads for. It suggests an insecurity on the part of the studio that they feel like they need to saturate prime time and get as many asses in seats before word of mouth gets out and people...

Lucasfilm made an announcement to coincide with the anniversary. They're producing a new animated show and a live action show for TV. I'd heard a rumor about the TV show sometime last year but I'd given up on it entirely until I heard this. Even though I was among the angry mob regarding the prequel...

That's an official image for marketing. It's clearly photoshopped, but it's out to get everyone stoked for the next movie. It's a genuine indication of The Joker's make up and I, for one, am completely into that shit! One of my favorite Joker renderings was in the Grant Morrison/Dave McKean one-shot...

Nice catch! Strike Commando rocks! It's funny. For years I didn't want to admit how much I liked these old hollywood action flicks, but it was those Italian knockoffs that forced me to re-evaluate them. I think there may have even been a thread about this a few years back, but there was a reason gu...

Got the word last night that my Uncle Walter had just passed away after a long bout with Parkinsons. Pardon my irreverence (he was a TERRIFIC guy and I respect his memory), but he's going to have some interesting company. This right on top of my two-dollar STRIKE COMMANDO score, as I mentioned earl...

I got to see this last night and the jury is still out. I certainly liked it as these guys have a personality that really appeals to me. Over the past couple of years I've had a lot of access to what's happening in the UK as far as TV and movies go and Spaced and Shaun of the Dead both made Working ...

There's not much that I can say that hasn't been said already. I loved the look, I loved the music, I liked Planet Terror a little more than Death Proof, I loved the trailers and with the exception of Werewolf Women of the SS, I'd love to see full-length versions of the others. The whole thing worke...

I'm the victim of the ultimate ripoff. This isn't playing anywhere even remotely near me. They advertised it like it was going to wide release, but I would have to drive to Boston to see it. I'm pretty amped to see another Wright/Pegg/Frost movie. I think, right now, they are my favorite production ...

I had a build of FoF for a little while and I played one track before I determined that it wasn't going to work for me. It sounds like such a great idea but when you download a chart for a song, you have to be sure that your MP3 is either the same or very close to the one used to create the chart. D...

Is it established that breaking the fourth wall was intended to make the viewer a part of the torture? I've heard this about Funny Games, but that's not how I felt about it. I saw all that, and the remote scene and thought that it was experimentation with French New Wave ideas. Godard used to do tha...

Funny Games remake

I spotted this note on the Wikipedia entry for Funny Games. Michael Haneke is directing an english language update of the 1997 movie. Ordinarily, I couldn't give a shit about a remake, but it's interesting since Haneke is updating his own movie and I'm also wondering about the tone of the remake. Th...

How strange. Everybody HERE liked it, but the rest of the country has turned its back on it... and judging from the Myspace comments on my blog entry, I'm the lone voice in the wilderness. Well, that's fine. We've got remakes of HALLOWEEN, FRIDAY THE 13TH and MOTEL HELL coming, and a belated SLEEPA...

Rock Band

I mentioned this in the Guitar Hero 2 thread, but it's official news now. The new Harmonix game was officially announced this morning at 8 and it has the entire internet gaming community on fire. The premise takes the existing Guitar Hero formula and expands it to an all new level. The game will com...

I can definitely get behind this. The trailer looks pretty good and with a much bigger scale, it looks like a contender.

The Muse song really works, too.

It's only a minute long, but it was enough to really get my blood going. It looks very, very nice. I've heard that both platforms will have content exclusive to them. There's also rumors about an airport that takes you back and forth between NYC and Moscow for human trafficking missions.

Street Trash 2? Yes!

It's interesting how the horror cycle works. Ten years ago, we were all pissing and moaning about the horror movies hitting theaters that ripped off every move from the classic slashers and now, ten years later, there's a big wave of splashy indie horror coming back. It seemed to start with Sliter, ...

I fully intend to see this one. I didn't expect it to get an American release when I read about it last year so imagine my shock when I started seeing ads on TV for a movie directed by Nacho Cerda. It's good news that it holds up. The ads sell it like any other Japanese inspired horror movie of late...
